Nola Calendar Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what data is processed when you use Nola Calendar for iOS and macOS, why it is needed, where it is stored, and what choices you have.

1. Who is responsible for your data

App operator: Chirkov Nikita Sergeevich (Чирков Никита Сергеевич), an individual developer.

In this Policy, “Nola Calendar,” “the app,” “we,” and “Operator” refer to the developer and service identified above.

2. Data processed by the app

2.1. Account data

Nola Calendar uses Sign in with Apple. The app receives a technical user identifier generated by Apple. Nola Calendar does not request your name or email address from Apple.

To keep calendars securely separated, the app also uses a technical identifier for the active iCloud account. Identifiers are converted into one-way hashes where the complete identifier is not required.

2.2. Calendar content

You choose to create and save:

events, schedules, shifts, classes, meetings, and breaks;
titles, dates, times, locations, notes, and meeting links;
reminders, plans, plan steps, and ideas;
calendar, appearance, and display settings.

This content is stored in your private iCloud database through Apple CloudKit and synchronized between your devices.

Free-form fields can contain any text. Please avoid entering health information, biometric data, political or religious beliefs, or other highly sensitive information unless you personally need to store it.

2.3. Notification data

If you allow notifications, the following data is processed to deliver reminders, app news, and other notifications you choose to receive:

Apple Push Notification service token;
a random app-installation identifier;
hashed account identifier;
device platform — iOS or macOS;
app version and build number;
technical notification environment.

This data is sent over a secure connection to the Nola Calendar service running on Cloudflare infrastructure. Notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service.

2.4. Technical data

Apple and Cloudflare may automatically process network and technical information required to operate their services, such as an IP address, request time, delivery status, and error details. Nola Calendar does not use this information for advertising or user profiling.

3. How data is used

Data is used only to:

authenticate you and keep your calendar separate from other accounts;
store and synchronize your calendar and settings across devices;
create local reminders and deliver permitted push notifications;
protect the app, prevent abuse, and resolve errors;
respond to support requests;
comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

Depending on applicable law, processing is based on:

performance of the Terms of Use and provision of app functionality;
your consent where consent is required;
compliance with legal obligations;
protection of the legitimate interests of the Operator and users, provided those interests do not override your rights.

You can withdraw the iOS or macOS notification permission in system settings. If advertising messages are introduced in the future, consent will be requested separately where required by law and will not be a condition for receiving ordinary calendar reminders.

5. Storage and retention

Calendar content is stored in your private iCloud storage. A local copy may remain on your devices so that the app can work offline.

A push-notification device registration is retained on Cloudflare infrastructure for no more than 90 days after its latest refresh. The period is renewed when the app confirms that the device is still active. The record may be removed sooner when you sign out, disable delivery, delete your account, or Apple reports that the token is invalid.

The countries in which Apple and Cloudflare process data depend on their infrastructure, account settings, and applicable rules. Before processing data for which local law requires initial storage in a particular country or a separate cross-border transfer filing, the Operator must meet those requirements or restrict the relevant functionality.

6. Service providers and disclosures

The app uses:

Apple Inc. and its affiliates — Sign in with Apple, iCloud, CloudKit, Keychain, the App Store, and push-notification delivery;
Cloudflare, Inc. and its affiliates — secure operation of the device-registration and notification service;
public authorities — only when disclosure is legally required and properly requested.

We do not sell personal data or disclose it to data brokers.

7. Advertising and analytics

The current version of Nola Calendar contains no advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app or cross-website tracking.

Advertising may be introduced in the future. Before it is enabled, we will update this Policy and our App Store disclosures, identify the advertising partners, purposes, and data categories, and request tracking or marketing permission where required by law or Apple's rules. Refusing such permission will not remove features you have already purchased.

8. Paid features and subscriptions

The current version has no paid subscriptions. In the future, some features may be sold or offered as subscriptions through the App Store. Apple processes payment details; Nola Calendar does not receive your payment-card number.

Before a purchase, you will be shown the price, subscription period, automatic-renewal terms, and cancellation method. This Policy will be updated if additional purchase identifiers or subscription-history data are needed to verify access.

9. Security

We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards, including Apple's secure system storage, a private CloudKit database, encrypted connections, account separation, access controls, and limited retention. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may:

ask what data is processed about you;
request correction, restriction, or deletion;
withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
disable notifications in system settings;
delete calendar data and initiate account deletion in the app;
complain to a competent regulator or court.

Send requests to contact.tech.company@gmail.com. To protect your account, we may ask you to verify that you are the account holder. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

11. Deletion

Account deletion is intended to remove the associated Nola Calendar data, push registration, and local app data, except information that must be retained by law. Deletion from backups and distributed systems may require a technically necessary period.

Deleting the app from a device may not by itself remove content stored in iCloud. You can also manage iCloud data through your Apple Account controls.

12. Children

Nola Calendar is a general-audience app and does not knowingly request age information. If applicable law does not allow a minor to consent to data processing or accept these terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must act for them.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the app, law, or service providers change. Material changes will carry a new version date and, where required, will be announced in the app and presented for renewed consent.
